This is...honestly...my best, most sucessful work to date.
( My opinion at least )
I -adore- how well the acrylic and water-colors came together, giving the forest behind Yuy and Duo a real sense of depth. There's interaction between the characters instead of 'modelesque' poses and staged setting.
There's possibly a exquisite story here, which I've not the patience to write. However, what's superb about the drawing is that, through the art you're given various options to what's happening. Read into it however you like. Duo's the villain, Heero's his 'meal'...or enemy even. Perhaps Yuy's being bitten, and transformed into his lover's/rival/companion's vampiric 'race'.... And so on. It's both heaven and hell. Love or loss.
This took -months- to do, since I'd work on a layer and then ponder which color would be applied next, or where I wanted a hand to be. But, the end result is more than worth it.
Though it may not rival -true- professional work.....as is my goal eventually.....I'm perfectly satisfied with the results.
Something of this caliber would be....maybe twenty to twenty five dollars to paint, if someone commissioned me. ( And I certainly wouldn't make anyone wait -months- for it's finish either ) If a print was wanted, it'd be a few dollars more. *taps chin* Less detailed colored work would be...fifteen. Inked art...with average detail would be ten and sketches are five? ( Keeping in mind only prints or jpg's of the image would be given to the buyer. )How does that sound?
If anyone actually starts requesting such, I'll have to make a more thorough list of 'wills and will nots' or stipulations. But for now.....I'm done.
Hope you enjoy.
Comments and critiques are welcomed and appreciated.
Damn you, Aaron. >>;; -Glares at art accusingly- I took an entire bloody semester of Watercolors, and I still can bearly scribble out anything with them. And then here is Aaron, with his exquisite artwork that makes me want to toss my professional watercolors in a lake. Maybe I'll just ship them to you. Who knows. I hate watercolors >
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
